Real APK Leecher is a free program written in Java that allows people to download APK files of Android apps directly from the Google Play Store on to their Windows computer. Then transfer the files to their Android device for manual installation. There are other ways to download APKs from Google Play, one of which involves editing the browser agent string of the Chrome browser to disguise it as an Android device. But Real APK Leecher is the easiest way to do it.
Before you can start using Real APK Leecher, you must have your Android device registered under Google Play. This is necessary because the program uses the Android market API to connect to Google Play by identifying itself as your Android phone. The program can only do this when there is at least one Android device under your Google account.
To register your Android phone or device in Google Play, you simply have to open the Play app on your phone and let it connect to the Store and the phone will automatically be added under your account.
The next step is to obtain the device ID of your phone. The device ID is what identifies your device on the Play Store, and this is not the same as the IMEI number or manufacturer serial number. To find the device ID type *#*#8255#*#* on the phone and it should show the device ID as shown below.
If you can’t get the device ID this way, there are many apps on the Play Store that reveals the device ID. Here is one such app.
Once you’ve obtained the device ID, open Real APK Leecher, and enter your Google email ID associated with your phone, your Google password and the device ID. Don’t worry about supplying your account password – the program connects directly to Google’s servers.
You can also hide your real country and language and choose another one, if there are too many restrictions in your country. For instance, you may want an app that is not available in your country. You can also fake your carrier by entering a custom SIM Operator Numberic (SON).
SON is given by the following formula: SON = MCC + MNC. For example, T-Mobile has MCC 310, MNC 260, so SON is 310260. If you don’t need this feature, just leave SON empty. Here is the list of MCC and MNC for all operators in all countries.
After you have entered all necessary details, save it and the window will close and another one will open. Here you can search for the apps you wish to download. You can always return back to the settings window from Edit > Options if you want to make any changes.
The results displays the app name, the vendor name, current version and the price. Right-click on the app you wish to download and choose the Download option to download it to your hard disk. You can only download free apps with this tool.
Real APK Leecher can also scan your local folder of Android APKs to see if newer version of the apps are available.
Please note that downloading APKs from the Google Play Store is a violation of the Play Store’s terms and agreements. Be cautious, when you use this program.
